Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to create beautiful and practical designs for our clients in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility and the ability to bring concepts to life through detailed floor plans, 3D models, and visual aids.

Responsibilities

• Translate client needs into design plans that address both style and functionality.
• Create comprehensive project timelines and milestones.
• Review and critique designs and project proposals from junior designers.
• Lead client meetings to discuss progress and gather feedback.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for project execution.
• Track project expenses and adjust budgets as necessary.
• Ensure a high standard of quality in all design work.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of proven interior design experience

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• MS Office Suite
• Sustainable Design Principles

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Residential and Commercial Projects: Proven experience in handling both residential and commercial interior design projects.
• Knowledge of Latest Trends in Interior Design: Staying updated on the latest design trends, styles, and materials.
