General Practitioner

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced General Practitioner to provide excellent healthcare in our Durban clinic. You will manage patient cases from initial consultation through treatment, maintaining accurate records and ensuring the highest quality of care. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions will be vital to our patients' health.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient health concerns.
• Develop and implement patient care plans.
• Prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as necessary.
• Provide emotional support and counselling to patients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or an equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate training in family medicine is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience in a General Practice setting

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced Life Support Certifications: Additional certifications related to emergency medicine are advantageous.
• Languages spoken other than English: Proficiency in Afrikaans or Zulu is a plus.
