Your role will involve performing surgeries, diagnosing illnesses, and guiding pet owners on health management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations and health assessments.
  • Perform surgical procedures and manage post-operative care.
  • Engage with pet owners to discuss treatment options and health advice.
  • Keep detailed medical records and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work closely with other veterinarians and specialists.
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance skills.
  • Manage emergency cases and provide critical care.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team.
  • Encourage a culture of compassion and care within the clinic.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelors in Veterinary Science (BVSc) or higher
  • Specialization in Veterinary Medicine is an asset
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years in clinical practice

  • Anesthesia and analgesia management

Certifications
  • Veterinary Council of South Africa Registration
