Job Description

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality IT support to our staff in Port Elizabeth. Your responsibilities will include managing helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing training to end-users when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to IT support requests and provide solutions.
  • Set up and configure new workstations and other IT equipment.
  • Coordinate with external technical support vendors as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance of IT systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist in cyber security efforts to protect company data.
  • Collect user feedback to enhance future IT services.
  • Participate in IT projects to support technology upgrades.
  • Stay updated on new technology trends relevant to the company.
  • Document user interactions and troubleshooting steps taken.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless technology integration.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • IT-related diploma or degree is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years working in IT helpdesk support
