Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our Durban office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax legislation and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies and compliance.
• Manage the preparation of tax filings and documents.
• Conduct detailed analyses of client tax positions, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Engage with revenue authorities on behalf of clients as needed.
• Support clients in responding to tax audits and inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and practices.
• Assist in the development of internal tax policies and procedures.
• Provide support during tax advisory projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation services or compliance

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner
• CA(SA) or equivalent is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
