Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our logistics processes in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations and ensure all shipments are delivered on time.
  • Work with teams to schedule and track shipment deliveries.
  • Perform data analysis on shipping and inventory management to identify trends.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to manage shipments effectively.
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
  • Assist in training new staff on logistics processes and software.
  • Lead meetings to update team members on logistics performance and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department on supply chain management.
  • Implement new technologies and systems to improve logistics efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Logistics, Transport, or a related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics role
