Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Architect to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative design and a strong portfolio showcasing their architectural expertise in both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop design proposals that comply with budgetary constraints.
• Evaluate the environmental impact of architectural designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies for potential projects.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure their vision aligns with project goals.
• Coordinate with government and local authorities for necessary permits.
• Prepare detailed project documentation across all stages of design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Architecture is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant architectural experience

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling Software
• Building Codes Understanding

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Collaboration

Certifications

• SACAP registration
• LEED Accreditation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Urban Design Principles: Understanding of urban design frameworks and principles.
• Familiarity with Historic Preservation: Knowledge regarding the conservation and restoration of historic buildings.
