You'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering counselling services to clients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients through clinical interviews and assessments.
• Implement treatment modalities that suit individual client needs.
• Facilitate discussions on coping strategies and coping mechanisms.
• Document sessions thoroughly and maintain client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic client care.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental illnesses.
• Assist in the crisis management process for clients in need.
• Encourage clients to participate in their treatment plans actively.
• Promote wellness and recovery-oriented practices.
• Engage in community-based mental health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology

Experience

• 4+ years of clinical experience in mental health counselling

Technical Skills

• Psychodynamic Therapy
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Certifications

• Mental Health First Aid
• Crisis Intervention Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
