Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Neonatal Nurse to join our team in Cape Town. You will provide essential care to newborns, ensuring their health and well-being in our state-of-the-art neonatal unit. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in neonatal care and a passion for helping vulnerable infants.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care to critically ill newborns and preterm infants.
  • Assess and document infants' health status and responses to treatments.
  • Implement infection control policies to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Create a nurturing environment for infants and families.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated on neonatal care practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for the best patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to families during stressful times.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Specialization in Neonatal Nursing is advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in neonatal nursing
