Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in East London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of various structures, ensuring safety, functionality, and sustainability in line with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from inception through completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine project viability.
• Engage with clients to ascertain their requirements and provide expert advice.
• Monitor the performance of structures post-construction to inform future design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in all engineering activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or similar field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the field of Structural Engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Bridge Engineering

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Client Interaction

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with steel and concrete structures: Hands-on experience in designing and executing steel and concrete projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes: Familiarity with Eastern Cape building regulations and standards.
