Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to oversee and enhance our facility operations in Durban. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient management of our spaces, fostering a safe and productive environment for our team.

Responsibilities

• Implement facility management software for monitoring operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and building regulations.
• Develop emergency procedures and conduct drills.
• Maintain positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
• Review and approve invoices related to facility services.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in facility operations.
• Analyze space utilization and make recommendations.
• Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives related to facility operations.
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment for operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Facility Management
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role managing large facilities

Technical Skills

• Budgeting and Financial Management
• Health and Safety Regulations

Certifications

• Safety Management Certification
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
