Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Prosthodontic Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with prosthodontic procedures, patient management, and a strong focus on dental care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist during restorative and cosmetic treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations.
• Assist in taking impressions and preparing dental materials.
• Coordinate with laboratories for equipment and prosthetics orders.
• Provide empathetic support to patients experiencing anxiety.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Document treatment plans and outcomes for follow-up visits.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Dental Hygiene is preferred

Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting would be an asset

Technical Skills

• Dental Radiography

• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Infection Control Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of 3D printing in dentistry: Understanding of modern techniques used in prosthodontics.
