Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You’ll work closely with IT departments to develop security best practices and safeguard sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure systems from the ground up.
• Manage and configure security software.
• Conduct employee training sessions on cybersecurity.
• Work with third-party vendors to ensure compliance.
• Document security incidents and responses for future reference.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in cloud security: Knowledge and experience of securing cloud environments.
