Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Structural Engineer to contribute to our projects in Sandton. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of large scale structural projects.
• Integrate sustainable practices into engineering designs.
• Review project designs to ensure they meet performance criteria.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for structural projects.
• Develop project timelines and track progress.
• Enhance collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to other engineering staff.
• Investigate structural failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee their work.
• Advocate for safety and quality in all engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience

• SAP2000

Certifications

• Structural Engineer Registration (Pr. Eng.)

Languages
