Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Consultant based in Durban with a passion for helping clients navigate tax regulations and compliance. The successful applicant will provide expert advice on various taxation matters and help clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with complex tax issues including international taxation and corporate tax planning.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
• Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax policy and strategy.
• Review and verify tax return accuracy prior to submission.
• Assist clients in structuring business transactions in a tax-efficient manner.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax compliance and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Honors degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in tax consulting or similar role

• Tax Planning

Certifications

• Tax Compliance Practitioner (TCP)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Conversational

• Experience in audit preparation: Previous experience in preparing documents for tax audits.
