Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will support engineering projects by executing design modifications and performing analysis to uphold compliance and safety standards. You will work closely with engineers to provide technical assistance and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Help create and revise engineering documentation.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment and design processes.
• Work with project teams to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in drafting specifications and project plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collect and analyze data for project evaluations.
• Provide technical support to team members and clients.
• Contribute to the successful completion of engineering tasks.
• Provide solutions and recommendations for problem-solving.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Engineering or related field
• Bachelor's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in a technical role within engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with PLC programming: Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of safety regulations: Familiarity with ISO standards and safety protocols in engineering.
