Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings. You'll play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they meet specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement civil engineering solutions for various projects.
• Work closely with environmental teams to ensure sustainability.
• Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Inspect and approve construction work and materials.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct hydrological calculations for drainage and flood control.
• Serve as a technical advisor for project-related issues.
• Participate in post-project evaluations and feedback sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience required
