Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a passion for animal welfare. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care. Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Perform routine and complex surgeries.
  • Provide compassionate care to animals under treatment.
  • Monitor recovery of patients post-surgery.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care plans.
  • Engage in community outreach and education on animal welfare.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Studies
  • Further specialisation in a veterinary field is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical environment
