Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Doctor to join our team in Durban. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal illnesses and injuries, as well as providing preventative and wellness care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to work collaboratively in a team focused on providing excellent veterinary care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess animal health through diagnostic tests.
  • Implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Conduct spay/neuter and other surgical procedures.
  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care as needed.
  • Foster a safe and welcoming environment for pets and owners.
  • Instruct pet owners on home-care routines post-treatment.
  • Work with local shelters for adoption drives and health initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.
  • Promote clinic services through community events.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education
  • DVM with specialization in internal medicine or surgery
  • Completion of an internship is preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years in general practice or specialty practices.
