We are in search of a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in information security practices and a passion for protecting organizations from cyber threats. In this role, you will develop and implement security strategies, conduct audits, and provide guidance on compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security awareness training for employees.
• Liaise with external vendors on security solutions.
• Monitor security measures to prevent data breaches.
• Evaluate new security technologies and make recommendations.
• Report on security incidents and provide metrics for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a relevant field
• Professional cybersecurity certifications are highly regarded

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles

• Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems
• Malware Analysis

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Hands-on experience with SIEM tools for real-time analysis of security alerts.
• Scripting Skills: Ability to write scripts for automating security tasks.
