Job Description

Health Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and dispensation of medications, contribute to patient care, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock rotation and ordering.
• Educate patients about medication usage and potential side effects.
• Support pharmacists with medication therapy management.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss pharmacy operations.
• Assist in conducting health screenings and assessments.
• Provide logistical support for pharmacy events and initiatives.
• Compile reports on pharmacy performance and activities.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation certificate
• Pharmacy Technician diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting or healthcare environment

Technical Skills

• Medication management
• Pharmacy software proficiency

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Customer service skills

Certifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in customer service roles: Having a background in roles that focus on customer interaction and service in healthcare.
• Knowledge of chronic medications: Experience in dealing with chronic medications and patient counselling.
