Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating public health initiatives to enhance community health outcomes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders including government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to implement effective health programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health research projects to gather data on health issues.
• Coordinate the delivery of health education programs to various community groups.
• Establish strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of health programs and recommend improvements.
• Conduct training sessions for healthcare providers on public health topics.
• Develop communication strategies to effectively reach target populations.
• Support the creation of health policies that promote equitable access to healthcare.
• Monitor and report on public health projects' outcomes to management.
• Identify grant opportunities and assist in writing proposals for funding.
• Engage and collaborate with other health specialists to address intersectoral health issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or a related field
