Job Description

We are seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to join our Durban-based team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in automating and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployments and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated deployment workflows.
• Manage version control and continuous integration tools.
• Work with containers (Docker) to streamline development and deployment.
• Conduct performance testing and improve application reliability.
• Train development teams on best practices for cloud operations.
• Participate in incident response and management.
• Collaborate on architectural design for cloud solutions.
• Ensure scalability and efficiency of cloud-based applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications in DevOps or Cloud Computing

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related field

Technical Skills

• AWS
• Docker
• Terraform
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Kubernetes: Proficiency in managing container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• GitHub Actions experience: Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
