Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Lead to oversee all aspects of factory operations in our Johannesburg facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in production management, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct factory activities to ensure production targets are met on time.
  • Lead safety audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Train and develop staff on equipment usage and safety practices.
  • Monitor production quality and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize production interruptions.
  • Review workflow processes and suggest changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage budgets related to production operations and report variances.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and performance excellence within the team.
  • Develop contingency plans for production disruptions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Production or Operations Management
  • MBA is preferable
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
