We are seeking a Structural Engineer based in Pretoria, passionate about designing safe and sustainable structures. The selected candidate will collaborate with architects and construction teams on various exciting projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative design solutions that meet client needs.
• Analyse existing structures for retrofitting and improvement opportunities.
• Direct and oversee project progress to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Engage with clients regularly to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose contingency strategies.
• Evaluate materials and construction methods for optimal performance.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate communications among stakeholders.
• Ensure environmental and sustainability guidelines are met in project designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practical structural engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Revit

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
