Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

As our Cybersecurity Analyst based in Johannesburg, you will play a crucial role in defending against cyber threats. You will analyze security incidents, investigate breaches, and develop security programs to safeguard our networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects aimed at enhancing cybersecurity measures across the organization.
• Evaluate new security products and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and conduct awareness programs related to cybersecurity.
• Compile and analyze security metrics to report to management.
• Collaborate with external security agencies when necessary.
• Participate in cybersecurity investigations as needed.
• Document incident reports and ensure they are securely handled.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity

• Previous experience in a SOC environment: Experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) is advantageous.
