Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our Bloemfontein team. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical, emotional, and developmental challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through tailored therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess and report on patients' physical and emotional needs.
• Create goal-oriented treatment plans focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.
• Educate and guide patients in exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Encourage patient participation in therapy sessions to enhance engagement.
• Prepare and present case studies during team meetings for collaborative input.
• Stay informed about the latest Occupational Therapy practices and research.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required; a Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment

• Rehabilitation Strategies

Certifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Basic

Advantageous

• Training in Hand Therapy: Certification or training in hand therapy practices.
