Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Pretoria team, where you will play a vital role in designing and overseeing construction projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential projects and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop calculations and models to ensure structural safety and integrity.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure quality materials.
• Participate in public consultations and presentations.
• Ensure all designs meet the highest quality standards.
• Maintain records of project progress and compliance.
• Prepare periodic reports for senior management.
• Integrate sustainable practices into engineering designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Structural focus
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in structural design and project execution

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Revit

Certifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
