Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental projects that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. You will contribute to assessments, studies, and projects aimed at protecting our natural resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in environmental projects.
• Draft and review environmental policies and procedures.
• Utilize GIS tools for environmental analysis.
• Assess the effectiveness of environmental initiatives.
• Advise on the sustainable use of resources.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering

Technical Skills

• Environmental Legislation
• Sustainability Practices

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• Green Building Council Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Intermediate
