Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Insurance Underwriter to join our Cape Town office. In this role, you'll evaluate insurance applications, assess risks, and determine policy terms to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to our team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to determine the insurability of applicants based on individual circumstances.
  • Draft and issue insurance policies, endorsements, and renewals as required.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior underwriters as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline underwriting processes.
  • Participate in underwriting audits and reviews to ensure compliance and quality assurance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance-related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in underwriting or relevant positions preferred
