Security Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Security Analyst to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of security protocols and a passion for safeguarding our digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute security awareness programs for staff.
• Analyze security incidents to improve responses.
• Implement multi-factor authentication and other access controls.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Work with vendors to ensure the security of third-party services.
• Support the integration of security solutions into new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years in a cybersecurity or IT security role

Technical Skills

• Security Tools
• Ethical Hacking

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks: Experience in utilizing frameworks like NIST, ISO for security strategies.
• Experience with data loss prevention tools: Hands-on experience with tools to prevent data breaches.
