Join our team as a Dog Walker! In this role, you will be responsible for taking various dogs for walks, providing exercise, companionship, and monitoring their health and behavior. Ideal candidates will have a passion for pets and experience in animal care.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and organize daily walking routes for efficiency.
• Ensure all equipment is safe and effective for each dog.
• Engage dogs with games and activities that promote physical and mental health.
• Participate in team meetings to share experiences and strategies.
• Handle any emergencies with composure and professionalism.
• Collect payments and handle scheduling as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in animal care, dog walking, or related fields preferred.

Technical Skills

• Dog Behavior Understanding
• GPS Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR Certification for Pets

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Animal Behavior Certification: Preferred qualification demonstrating knowledge in animal behavior and training.
• Experience with large or aggressive breeds: Ability to manage and walk larger or more challenging dog breeds.
