IT Support Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an IT Support Technician, where your role will be crucial in managing technology-related disputes and questions. Using both your technical know-how and communication skills, you will provide onsite or remote support to users, set up workstations, and contribute to system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve issues with computer systems and mobile devices.
• Implement efficient support processes to enhance service delivery.
• Work closely with network engineers to diagnose network connectivity issues.
• Ensure all IT support requests are recorded and tracked via the helpdesk system.
• Educate team members about new IT resources and tools.
• Help coordinate and manage IT projects as necessary.
• Conduct regular checks on installed software and systems to prevent issues.
• Support IT inventory management and supply needs.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or similar
• Degree in Computer Science or IT related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support

Technical Skills

• Linux
• Remote Support Tools

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
