Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ornamental Metal Erector to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of decorative metal structures, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications for metalwork installation.
• Execute installations of various ornamental metal products on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of installed structures.
• Calibrate tools and equipment to ensure efficient operation and safety.
• Assist in training new team members on best practices in metalworking.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during installations.
• Prepare sites for installation by clearing obstacles and setting up scaffolding.
• Manage inventory of materials and tools required for projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Report any issues or delays to the Site Manager promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in metalworking

Experience

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in ornamental metal erection or related field.
