Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating clients with mental health issues, as well as substance abuse problems. You will develop and implement personalized treatment plans, providing ongoing support and therapy to individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform client intakes and psychosocial evaluations.
• Monitor and assess client progress regularly.
• Provide education on mental health and substance abuse recovery.
• Facilitate group therapy and support sessions.
• Develop resources and tools for client education.
• Advocate for client needs within healthcare settings.
• Supervise interns and junior social workers as needed.
• Evaluate and adjust treatment goals based on client feedback.
• Participate in professional development workshops.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling is a bonus

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in mental health or substance abuse settings
