Telecommunications Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Telecommunications Engineer to join our talented team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network design, implementation, and maintenance. This role requires expertise in various telecommunications technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration of hardware and software for telecommunications systems.
• Assist with the layout and design of network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure all project milestones are met within budget and timeline.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for complex telecommunications problems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience

• Telecommunications Infrastructure
• IP Networking

• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Telecommunications Engineering Certification (TENC)
• Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with fiber optics systems: Hands-on experience with fiber optics installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in network management software: Experience using network management tools for system monitoring.
