Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Cape Town. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care to patients in various medical settings, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient care outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Engage patients in developing their care goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support.
• Supervise nursing assistants and other junior staff.
• Participate in staff training and development programs.
• Advocate for patients' needs and preferences.
• Manage patient discharge processes effectively.
• Stay current with nursing procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Specialization in Critical Care Nursing is an advantage.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting

• Emergency Care

Certifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Certifications in specialized fields: Certifications in fields such as palliative care or mental health nursing.
