Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on drug interactions, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. You will play a pivotal role in promoting health and safety within our community.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in the selection of over-the-counter medications.
• Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify potential interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to patient privacy laws.
• Train and mentor pharmacy interns and students.
• Assist in developing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation of new pharmacy technologies.
• Engage in research initiatives to improve pharmacy services.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and workshops.
• Serve as a resource for drug information and healthcare updates.
• Foster relationships with local healthcare providers for referrals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences

Experience

• 3-5 years of pharmacy experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist License (South Africa)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
