Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. In this role, you will be involved in the design and implementation of civil engineering projects, focusing on infrastructure development and sustainability. A strong understanding of engineering principles and effective project management skills are vital. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering plans that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local zoning laws and regulations in project designs.
• Analyze project data to optimize designs for cost and sustainability.
• Work with surveyors to incorporate measurements into project plans.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management

• Civil 3D
• Environmental Impact Assessments

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Structural Software: Experience with structural design software such as SAP2000 or Tekla.
