Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator (also known as a Machine Baster) to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of sewing machines, particularly in the basting process. Attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Run and control basting machines while adhering to scheduled production plans.
• Conduct quality checks on finished garments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Assist in training new staff on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery.
• Proactively communicate with the production team regarding any potential delays or issues.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in machine operation or a similar role is preferred.
