Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing aerospace systems and components that meet the demands of the aviation industry. Your expertise will contribute to our mission to innovate and excel in aerospace technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new aircraft systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for component specifications.
• Ensure continuous improvement practices are applied to engineering processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Analyze data from tests and simulations to adjust designs accordingly.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Control Systems

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Aerospace Engineer (CAE)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with electric propulsion systems: Experience with electric and hybrid propulsion technologies.
• Project Management Certification: Certification in project management methodologies is an advantage.
