Lens Coating Technician

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Lens Coating Technician to operate and maintain our advanced coating equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that all optical lenses are coated accurately to meet stringent specifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operations of coating equipment, ensuring adherence to prescribed standards.
• Conduct inspections to confirm lens integrity and quality post-coating.
• Assist in resolving any issues related to equipment or product quality promptly.
• Record data regarding machine performance and production metrics accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, promoting health and safety practices.
• Collaborate with quality control to ensure systematic compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals and share feedback for improvement.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production workflow.
• Provide support in the preparation of reports related to production efficiency.
• Take part in training sessions focused on new processes and technologies in lens coating.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Optical Science or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in a production or coating environment

Technical Skills

• Equipment Maintenance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Quality Control Tools: Experience in using quality control tools such as calipers and gauges for precision measurement.
