Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive Cloud Engineer who can develop and implement strategies for cloud usage. As part of our dynamic team in Durban, you will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Establish and implement cloud usage policies.
• Collaborate in agile teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Integrate cloud services with existing systems.
• Conduct technical evaluations of cloud technologies.
• Support incident management and response.
• Enhance operational efficiency through automation.
• Establish and administer cloud monitoring systems.
• Research and propose improvements for cloud architecture.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies for data.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in implementing cloud solutions.

Technical Skills

• GCP
• Ansible
• Monitoring Tools

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• CompTIA Cloud+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with serverless architectures: Familiarity with using serverless computing models for applications.
• Experience with cloud migration projects: Guiding the transition of clients' applications to the cloud.
