Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a sharp analytical mind and a strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting. This role involves managing financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies.
• Manage general ledger activities including account reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Prepare tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Assist with audits and financial reviews.
• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role

• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• CA(SA) or similar accounting qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to manage ERP systems: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP could be helpful.
