Job Description

As a Health and Safety Officer in Pretoria, you will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards across various operational sites. Your expertise in risk assessment and compliance will be vital in promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive workplace safety assessments.
  • Design and implement safety training and awareness programs.
  • Compile and maintain accurate incident reports.
  • Review and update safety policies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Advocate for a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Coordinate safety drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Provide guidance on health and wellness initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Post-graduate studies in Occupational Health is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in an environmental role with health and safety focus
