Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Metal Gauge Maker to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the creation and maintenance of metal gauges, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain metal gauge machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and cut metal sheets according to required dimensions.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain precision and accuracy.
• Maintain records of measurements and gauge specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certification in Metal Fabrication or a related field
• Diploma in Engineering or Metalworking is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in metal gauge making or a similar role with a proven track record

Technical Skills

• Experience with hand and power tools used in metalworking
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
• Experience with CNC machinery

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Additional trade qualifications or certifications in metalworking

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to operate and program CNC machinery: Experience in programming CNC machines for metalworking tasks.
• Hands-on experience with specific metal alloys or specialized gauges: Familiarity with working on different metal types and understanding their properties.
