Systems Administrator

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a proficient Systems Administrator to enhance our IT Support and Administration services in Bloemfontein. This role requires a proactive approach to managing IT systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing upgrades, monitoring system performance, and providing technical support to our team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues and outages.
• Coordinate with system engineers for system enhancements and improvements.
• Prepare and manage IT budgets, forecasting technology needs.
• Assist in the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
• Track and report on key performance metrics and system usage.
• Serve as a liaison between the IT department and other divisions in the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
• Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, or networking preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in IT support or system administration roles
