We're on the hunt for a Tax Specialist to enhance our expert team in Durban. This role requires a deep understanding of local and national tax policies. The successful candidate will lead tax compliance projects, advise clients on tax-efficiency strategies, and help them navigate complex financial landscapes. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive tax support documentation.
• Analyze clients' financial documents for tax planning opportunities.
• Ensure timely submissions of tax filings and payments.
• Interface with external tax authorities to address client concerns.
• Provide ongoing tax advisory services to existing clients.
• Conduct client meetings to review financial tax strategies.
• Collaborate in identifying potential tax risks and mitigation strategies.
• Perform gap analysis on current compliance processes.
• Deliver knowledge-sharing sessions on tax topics to internal teams.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and internal audits regarding tax issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Tax is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax consulting role

Technical Skills

• VAT Regulations
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)
• Competence in IFRS is a bonus

Languages

• English: Fluent
