Job Description

As a Flue Blower, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing flue systems. Your primary responsibilities will include inspecting systems for faults, cleaning and repairing as necessary, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of flue systems to determine maintenance needs.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks on various flue and chimney systems.
• Ensure all repair work adheres to safety guidelines.
• Assist in training junior staff on flue maintenance procedures.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on flue systems.
• Collect data and prepare reports for management.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Trade Certificate as a Boilermaker or Welder

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Mechanical skills
• Knowledge of flue systems

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with industrial flue systems: Previous work involving large-scale flue systems is beneficial.
