Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Investigative Journalist to join our Durban team. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to uncovering stories that matter. You will research, report, and publish investigations that hold power accountable and inform the public.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover and report on significant issues through detailed investigative journalism.
  • Cultivate relationships with community members and organizations to gather information.
  • Utilize multimedia content to enhance storytelling.
  • Contribute to the overall content strategy by suggesting story ideas.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship opportunities for junior journalists.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Media Studies or related field
  • Advanced degree in Journalism is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in a comparative role focusing on investigative journalism
